Most treasured antique find?

One of my favorite antique finds is an Eames-style lounge chair I came across on Facebook Marketplace. It’s made of aged wood, has a subtle creak when you sit, and needed a bit of leather conditioning, but that’s exactly what gives it character. It’s now my favorite place to unwind, usually with a cup of coffee and a good book by the window.

Favorite DIY project to-date?

One of my most rewarding projects was uncovering and finishing the attic space in my home. The property is over 100 years old, and beneath the pitched roof was an unfinished attic with exposed redwood beams and old insulation. With some thoughtful planning, a lot of hands-on work, and a bit of help, I transformed it into a functional storage and workspace. It completely changed how I use the home, and, of course, gave me more room for my antique finds.

What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned in your investment journey?

The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that real estate investing comes down to balancing risk and reward and making disciplined, well-informed bets. Strong underwriting is critical, the numbers need to stand on their own, but it’s equally important to recognize where there’s potential to create value. I spend a lot of time helping clients evaluate value-add opportunities and identify ways to unlock upside beyond what’s immediately apparent.
